I’m no science geek but I was amazed by this video a friend sent me on lightupload. All it is is salt and waves. That’s right and I’ve no idea if they are trying an experiment or whatever but it’s kind of cool in a no big deal way. There’s someone in a special suit and every time they pour a bucket of salt into this basin of waves it takes a few seconds and then it sort of spreads out into patterns like flowers and all different shapes. There’s a weird high-pitched sound it makes as well - that freaked my cat out too! But I don’t think that’s the salt doing it, must be the equipment. Anyway, it’s not really awesome but it’s sort of weird and nice to look at. Makes a change from high-tech sfx. Reminded me of kaleidoscopes when you were a kid and how they were cool for like 30 seconds but then your eye started to hurt as you squinted down the tiny viewer. Well, it was a bit like that anyway, only no squinting
